Mobile City Lab's primary objective is to take the city as a laboratory to co-create multifaceted understanding and knowledge among students, academia, professionals and the lay public on various urban related issues, with a view to moving the city towards sustainable development.
A series of events including exhibition, seminars, workshops and tours are organised to launch the Mobile City Lab. The first exhibition will take place on 22 May 2019 (Wednesday) at Fringe Club from 10am to 10pm. It will showcase creative works by students and interdisciplinary activities organised by the various research units. There will be a reception at 6pm and Dr. Peter Cookson Smith, former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners and the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, will deliver a short speech on “Future Cities: The Livability Paradigm”.
